CARNIVAL PARTY and PANCAKES

Today, 9th February , we have celebrated Carnival at school.

The main show has been in the afternoon but some students have come to school dressed up.
Great customes  for a great Festival!

Some "cats" came to the English class and some "interesting" people did a presentation on Countries  around the world.

Hi again!

Last year, I mean two months ago, we were talking about Christmas around the world. It is a very interesting topic because we learn lots of things to see and do in different places.
These are the countries we have chosen, we have serched information about them and finally, we have compiled it in a Power Point .

DO YOU LIKE PANCAKES?

We eat pancakes on Fat Tuesday.
When do we celebrate Fat Tuesday? On Carnival, of course!

What do Basque people usually eat on Fat Tuesday? Is it FRIED MILK?

We are going to make some pancakes at school.
How? Very easy. We are going to follow the instructions from this video.
Or, if you prefer, follow the next instructions.

1. Put the flour, eggs, milk, 1 tbsp oil and a pinch of salt into a bowl . Then whisk it and set aside for 30 mins to rest if you have time, or start cooking straight away.
2. Set a medium frying pan or crêpe panover a medium heat and carefully wipe it with some oiled kitchen paper. When hot, cook your pancakes for 1 min on each side until golden.
